Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is best recognized for her character of Violet Plunkett from the CBS comedy 'Mom.' Calvano born in California initially was interested in gymnastics competitions. Later, she decided to pursue a career in acting. In 2010 she made her debut on screen with an episode of the CBS show 'NCIS.' One year later her first major-screen debut was in the biographical crime film J Edgar. Through the years, she's proven herself as one the most promising actors in the field. In 2011 she won a Young Artist Award nomination for the Best Actress on a TV Series and in the role of Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013 she was also nominated for yet another Young Artist Award for her performance as a guest in the Disney XD comedy series 'Kickin' It'. Calvano was part of the main cast of the show's initial three seasons, and also appeared in several episodes of the final season. Her performance in the show garnered her an award called the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in the year 2015.
