Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is an American celebrity chef on television as well as a former teacher in the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her signature hairstyle and her spiky, blond locks as well as her pumped to the max, shares the simplest techniques that anyone could master. Chef Burrell has also worked in many of New York's best restaurants, studied Italian cuisine as well as its traditions. She also participated in Food Network Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell began to develop a love of cooking and food at very young. Following her graduation with an English and Communications degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the industry of restaurants by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. I enjoyed every moment during my time at The Culinary Institute of America she says. It was hard to study how to do, or even work hard enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. The chef gained an understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions throughout her time in Italy that has informed her cooking style. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids who have challenges. Burrell travels extensively across the United States in her position as a mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her career and love of cooking. Through the course of her cooking career, Anne has often said that I am very fortunate to share my true passion in life with others.
